Hartwick Pines State Park

Whether sports, photography, nature or history beckons, all will revel in the varied and wide-open habitats of one of Michigan’s largest state parks south of the bridge. Hartwick Pines is home to 49 acres of old-growth pine, a logging museum, the East Branch of the AuSable River and four small lakes. Its scenic beauty stands tribute to Michigan’s lumber heritage and serves as a source of inspiration for the future of our forests.
