Five Drink Recipes Perfect for the Day Off Mixer

We recently picked up another one of their concoctions: the Day Off Mixer. Inspired by their hot sauce recipes, GTSC crafted the Day Off Mixer with a blend of fresh jalapeños and Michigan cherries.
This mixer is pretty flexible, and it tastes great in a variety of drinks! The Grand Traverse Sauce Company shared a couple of their favorite recipes with us, and now we’d like to share them with you. Read on for a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, all certifiably delicious.

Spiced Cider
Fruity and flavorful apple cider perfectly complements the tart and spicy flavors of the Day Off Mixer. A cinnamon stick adds a sweeter warmth to the heat of the jalapeño and makes a handsome garnish.
Ingredients
6 ½ oz. local apple cider
1 ½ oz. Day Off Mixer
Cinnamon stick
A splash of bourbon or rum if you wish
Classic recipes like Gin and Tonic or Mimosa create an excellent base drink for the Day Off Mixer. Its sweet, tart, and spicy flavor profile add an unexpected twist, elevating the original recipe.

2 oz. gin
1 oz. Day Off Mixer
2 oz. tonic
Ice
Mimosa-Style Day Off
½ champagne
Serve chilled
Margarita
This margarita mix has all the markings of a classic, with tequila and orange liquor, but the addition of the Day Off mixer gives this drink an extra kick. Salt is perfectly fine for this recipe, but if you want to lean into that spicy flavor, use Tajín for the rim.

1 ½ oz. tequila
4 oz. Day Off Mixer
Splash of Cointreau
(optional)
Lime wedge
Ice
Tajín or salt (for the rim)
The Day Off Mocktail
The Day Off mixer makes a great addition to a variety of alcoholic drinks, but it’s just as delicious in non-alcoholic beverages! This mocktail can be made in various ways based on your taste, but the end result will still have that sweet and spicy taste that makes the Day Off mixer a winner.

2 oz. of your choice: sparkling water, juice, or lemonade
