Red-Headed Woodpecker Patch
Description
Sometimes called a “flying checkerboard,” the Red-headed Woodpecker is a stunning but infrequent sight in eastern North America, where its open-country habitat has declined. It’s the only North American woodpecker that stores and then covers its food, like insects or acorns, underneath bark.
Bird Collective will donate 20% of the profits from this patch to support Alabama Audubon as it works to protect the waters of Alabama where Belted Kingfishers reside year-round.
This embroidered bird patch has an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend swing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue.
