Modern Detroit Seal Kraft Postcard

$1.00

Description
Mustering through hard times is nothing new for Detroit. We’ve been rising from the ashes, literally, for over 200 years.

Here’s a modern, minimalist interpretation of Detroit’s city seal, adopted in 1827… a decade before Michigan became a state. Inspired by a fire that destroyed the entire city in 1805, the woman on the left weeps at the fiery destruction behind her. She is consoled by her compatriot on the right, who gestures to a new, stronger city that will inevitably arise in its place.

Nothing will conquer us. Hard times? They only make us stronger.
