Full Production Holiday Coaster

Our Full Production Holiday Coaster is a playful tribute to Diego Rivera’s monumental Detroit Industry frescoes at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Created in 1932–33, Rivera’s 27-panel masterpiece celebrates Detroit’s industrial might and the workers and machinery behind it. Our scene takes its inspiration from the famed North Wall and its depiction of Ford V-8 engine production—with Santa’s crew stepping in for a little holiday shift work.

Filled with elves, machinery, conveyor belts, and a sleigh making its way through production, the design brings together Detroit history, art, industry, and Christmas with a wink. Adapted from original Peninsulas holiday artwork and reworked especially for the coaster format, it’s a distinctly Detroit take on the North Pole workshop.

One of the many coasters we offer, designed to be mixed, matched, or collected over time. This 4" × 4" matte ceramic coaster is cork-backed for surface protection and printed in-house by Peninsulas. At approximately 1/4" thick, it has a substantial feel while still being made for everyday life—set beside morning coffee, evening cocktails, hot cocoa, and the moments in between. Hand washing with mild soap is recommended to help preserve the vibrancy of the design.
