Great Lakes Strata Necklace

Each lake contributes something different, from dark magnetite found along Lake Michigan to reddish rhyolite grains from the shores of Superior. Handmade and set in a simple gold-tone frame, no two pendants will be exactly alike—a small piece of the Great Lakes shaped by the places the sand came from.

Created by Michigan artist Angie Hauch, founder of Straight From the Lake, the necklace reflects years spent beachcombing along Lake Michigan and transforming Great Lakes treasures into jewelry. Her work is inspired by the textures, colors, and stories found along the shoreline, with every piece handmade using authentic materials gathered from the lakes themselves.
