Michigan Sunset Sticker
Description
Decades before the Pure Michigan tourism campaign, Michigan was already experimenting with different ways to get the word out about our great state. In fact, Michigan was the first to implement highway travel information centers, in 1935!
But the serious tourism promotion didn’t start until the 1970’s, when Michigan unveiled its “Say Yes to Michigan!” campaign. The cheery phrase appeared everywhere, from tv and radio ads to t-shirts, bumper stickers, and coffee mugs. In fact, you can still find memorabilia today featuring that bright red and white call to action.
We honor the era when Michigan tourism got its first big moment in the spotlight, with our 70’s inspired Michigan Sunset design.
Vintage-inspired travel stickers like this used to adorn travel trunks and suitcases of travelers around the world. It is sure to add style to anything you stick it on.
