Sayklly's Yooper Bars
Description
In 1906, young Lebanese immigrant Joseph Sayklly opened a grocery store with his wife Mary, and their nine children. Their shop soon became a local attraction for its sweet treats and hand-cranked ice cream. Passed down three generations to granddaughter Debbie Kirby, their shop in Escanaba, Michigan has been joined by two more storefronts. Today Sayklly’s is known across the U.P. for the fascinating gifts and old-country candies that they’ve been selling since the beginning.
Sayklly's Yooper Bars are a sweet way to show your Yooper pride! Folks born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan call themselves "Yoopers," and Sayklly's created the original Yooper Bar to honor the company's proud U.P. heritage. Yooper Bars are solid, homemade chocolate bars molded in the shape of the Upper Peninsula. Each Yooper Bar is individually wrapped and available in either milk or dark chocolate.
